Naming which is the better of these burger franchises remains hard to determine but that does not deter Mr. Gustav Burger’s grade 10 International Exam Group as they went to McDonald's and Burger King restaurants nearby to inspect the differences in their marketing strategy.
Each of the two restaurants were thoroughly inspected by the students in terms of how they target each market segment evident in their vicinity, location, menu and services and match it with the different market segmentation employed by each shop. The students work focuses on determining the companies strategies based on demographics, geographic, psychographic, and behavioral segmentation.
The goal of this trip was to create a small presentation to the class about their findings regarding the differences and similarities between McDonalds and Burger King’s Marketing Strategies.
The trip was a success and it provided a practical learning on different segmentation approaches of the two burger giants and students will be expecting more trips as they learn more hands-on implementation of business with Mr Gustav Burger.
