HISTORY OF QIPS

Qurum International Private School (QIPS) was founded in 1983 as an independent, co-educational, monolingual school and started with approximately 90 students and 12 teachers. The school grew quickly and the bilingual and international programmes were later added. In 1998 the school had grown to 698 students who were taught by 61 teachers in 34 classrooms. Today the school has an enrolment of over 1000 students from kindergarten to Grade 12 and employs more than 100 teachers from various parts of the globe to deliver a world class curriculum.

Students are divided into 3 levels, each level having its own purpose-built premises, namely: Kindergarten, Elementary (Grade 1 to Grade 6) and Secondary (Grades 7 to 12).

The school is under the supervision of the Ministry of Education in the Sultanate of Oman and offers the Omani National Bilingual and Monolingual Curricula as well as Cambridge and Pearson EdExcel International Curricula.

Since its establishment, the school has built a reputation as an institution that delivers quality education, while upkeeping the core values of Omani society.
